As we start the last quarter of our Rotary year, I wanted to provide you with an update on our contributions to The Rotary Foundation.  I am pleased to tell you that our contributions to the Annual Fund at this point total $159,789.  Our original goal was $124,930 so you can see we are doing very well and are way ahead from where we were at at this same time last year.

Our contributions to PolioPlus currently total $34,930 with our goal being $41,455.  We still have a ways to go to meet our goal here so be sure to get your contributions into this fund.

I have been proud and grateful to hear from so many clubs and individuals in our district that have stepped up with donations to the Disaster Response Fund for the efforts in Ukraine.  Upon learning that donations made to the Disaster Response Fund through April 30 were being earmarked for Ukraine and that districts were allowed to use District Designated Funds to make donations to this effort, district leadership immediately decided to donate $50,000 of our DDF to that fund. District Designated Funds are those funds that come back to us from the Annual Fund contributions to use toward district and global grants.  When we communicated that to the membership, the response was tremendous.  Our members immediately stepped up to make contributions and at least a few carried that message to their workplaces.

And speaking of hitting it out of the park, our World Series of Giving is in its final months.  It has been exciting to watch clubs as they battle it out for one of the 5 custom-made Louisville Slugger bats that will be awarded.

Thank you to each of you for keeping The Rotary Foundation front and center in your giving.
