The Oregon Rotary Club met Wednesday October 7th at the Oregon Depot.  The club was pleased to host District 6420 Governor Tom Brooks as the main speaker.  Tom’s love for Rotary and its’ mission was present throughout his presentation.

Tom spoke of the main goals for Rotary International as given by the current President Holger Knaack.  Rotary’s focuses will be to completely cure Polio, grow Rotary impact world-wide, and grow Rotaract/Interact/Youth Exchange.  Rotaract/Interact are Rotary Clubs for young adults and high school students.  Young adults are the future of Rotary and have a great deal to add to our communities.

Tom kindly presented member Bob Newlon with a Rotary messenger bag.  Bob has served as a District Governor in the past, along with being instrumental in water and sewer sanitation efforts world-wide.
