Rock Island Rotary is hosting our 2nd Annual Pancake Breakfast on October 10th. It is unique in that we bring together two service clubs.
The Rock Island Lions Club own a building complete with kitchen and a very large area for tables and seating. Their principal fundraiser for years has been hosting Bingo games five or six days a week in the building. For this event they donated the used of their building, kitchen equipment, and some of their members volunteer to help at the breakfast. Our Rotarians sell all the tickets, do much of the food preparation and do the setup, serving and cleanup. Rotary gets all the breakfast proceeds.
