LOTS of stuff going on with DeKalb Rotary Club. Today (22 January) is exactly 100 years from the formation of the club. DeKalb Mayor Smith named today DeKalb Rotary Club Day (see proclamation below).

DeKalb Rotary Club has taken on a centennial project  - returning the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Clock to working order. This clock was dedicated in February 1921, less than a month after the formation of the DeKalb club, so we both turn 100 this year. The clock has not worked in years. It is a beautiful landmark on the corner of First Street and Lincoln Highway in DeKalb. The specialist who examined it told us he has never seen one quite like it and it is worthy of being in a museum. We need to raise a significant amount of funds to pay for the repair. We ask people to follow us on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/dekalbrotary/) and to visit our website (https://dekalbrotary.org/soldiers-and-sailors-memorial-clock/). Donations are gratefully accepted.
