August is Rotary's Membership and New Club Development Month, and I'm excited to share that District 6420 is actively exploring opportunities to grow Rotary in new ways. We are working with a cause-based group interested in forming an International E-Club, connecting with our Youth Exchange Alumni about a potential E-Club, and exploring communities that could benefit from a new or re-established Rotary club.
Now it's your turn.
I want to challenge each of you to continue our District 6420 Plus One initiative by inviting one person—a friend or family member, someone connected through a Rotary youth program, a fellow nonprofit volunteer, a community partner, or a grant partner—to join your club at a service project, social event, or fundraiser this month.
Notice what I didn't say.
I didn't say, "Invite them to a meeting."
Instead, invite them to participate alongside Rotarians. Let them experience our passion for service, our causes, our projects, and our people.
People don't join Rotary because they attended a meeting.
They join because they experienced Rotary.
That is the path to growing Rotary.
