District Foundation Dinner - November 19th
You are cordially invited to attend the 2025-2026 District Foundation Dinner! The event will be held on November 19, 2025 at the McCormick Event Center at 205 East Third Street, Rock Falls, IL  61071.   A cash bar will open at 5:30pm and the dinner will commence at 6:00pm.  Cost is $50 per person and must be paid via credit card in advanceRegistration closes on November 9th. Two New Global Scholars
Our District is lucky enough to be sending not just one but two scholars overseas to study in Great Britian and Greece. These scholars are both the recipients of a $30,000 scholarship from the Rotary Foundation. Thanks goes to a very dedicated scholarship committee led by Laura Davis and supported by Dave Emerick, Gary Rowe, Laura Kann, Marcella O'Brien, David Smith, Dave Hodge, Julie Gelaude, John Hurley, Sue Rector, Craig Devrieze, and Kathy Kwiat-Hess.

Sterling Commits $25,000 To SVCC Impact Program
The Sterling Noon Rotary Club announced a $25,000 commitment over 10 years to support the Sauk Valley Community College (SVCC) Impact Program. This initiative will provide students with the opportunity to earn free tuition and fees through community service.

Oregon Club plants Pollinator Plot
Rotary District 6420 had a goal for the 2024-25 Rotary year, to improve our environment by planting pollinator plots. Each Club was asked to make a plot at least 25 square feet. The Village of Progress assisted our club with this goal by building and planting raised beds. Thank you for the beautiful work. 
2025 Grant Project
Rotary Club of Pecatonica's Secretary, Sue Schomber, presented Laurie Miller Chairman of the Pec Playhouse Theater Capital Campaign, with a $4,114 check as part of its 2025 Grant Project. The title of the project is "Support to Rebuild Pec Playhouse Theater," after its roof collapsed due to a snow, in February, 2021.

Area Clubs Working Together
The Rotary Club of Ottawa Sunrise helped the Rotary Club of Sandwich sell bratwursts and hot dogs. The Sandwich club has their fundraising event at the Sandwich Fair each September.

Taking Our Show On The Road!
Putnam County Rotary proudly participated in our County's first-ever Homecoming Parade on September 17, as one of 40 entries. Being the smallest county in the state has its advantages, with a large percentage of the population joining in the occasion either as participants or as cheering bystanders.

Rotary Club of Toluca Packs for SnackPack Program
The Rotary Club of Toluca made a monetary donation to the Fieldcrest Backpack SnackPack Program in September. Rotarians also packed 285 weekend Hope Packs for Fieldcrest Elementary students that face the challenge of food insecurity.

Rotary Club of Toluca Literacy Project 
The Rotary Club of Toluca's Literacy Project is off and running again! The Club donates books that members read monthly to the Minonk Filger Library, the Toluca Public Library, Fieldcrest Primary School (grades K-2), and Fieldcrest Intermediate School (grades 3-5). Princeton Rotary Club has work day at Newell Bryant Museum
Some local Rotarians gathered recently to remove the wooden wheelchair ramp at the Newell Bryant Museum. It will be replaced with a new concrete ramp as part of Princeton Rotary’s district grant for the 2025-2026 year.

Rotary Club of Toluca Gives Aide to Families 
The Rotary Club of Toluca recently made a donation to the Fieldcrest Community School District #6 to purchase supplies to create kits that will help families get rid of head lice. When a child and their family gets infested with head lice it is an arduous battle to rid them from the family dwelling and the family members.

River Cities Rotary has had a busy fall! In August, we hosted our annual Free Fishing Derby for area residents. We had over 80 kids and their families come out to fish and win prizes.
