 Quad Cities Youth Exchange Weekend

District 6420’s Inbound Exchange Students had a blast at the 2019 Quad Cities Youth Exchange Weekend, hosted by Moline & Rock Island Rotary Clubs on November 23rd & 24th.

District 6420's Youth Exchange coordinators encourage regular weekend get-togethers for inbound students in order to enhance their cultural experience and provide an opportunity for them to interact and support one another during their adventure.

Celebrating Christmas

Loves Park Rotarians and supporters provided $1200 worth of See’s chocolates for 235 “Rockhouse Kids” ranging from six to eighteen years old. President Dave Smith helped stuff 4 oz. Santa’s List boxes of chocolates in Christmas stockings after District Governor-Elect Tom Brooks delivered the chocolates to the facility. Secretary Ciara Stahly and Rotarian Jan Fromm celebrated with the children at their party on December 17.

Rockhouse Kids provides a safe and creative environment for children from 6 to 18 through after school programs in tutoring, crafts, sports and mentoring.

Every Loves Park Rotarian sold See’s chocolates for the holiday season netting over $2600 in profit for the club’s upcoming projects. This is an annual fundraiser for the club. If you are a chocoholic, contact PDG Anita Papich, who will be happy to sell you a 1 lb. box for $25 next year.
