Hello District 6420! We have just five more months to IMAGINE a Rotary year filled with fun, fellowship, and service. All of these things can be enhanced by an increase in membership.

Membership drive event on the calendar?

 

Many of our clubs are preparing for membership drives this spring. That’s exciting.

 

RI research shows that clubs that have a new member orientation program have higher member retention rates.

 

When new people join your club you have the opportunity to connect with them and inspire them to be active members.

 

When your club makes public image a priority, be prepared to see engagement rise. Showcasing how your projects make an impact in the community and touch people's lives gives the public an understanding of what Rotary does. Even better, it inspires people to get involved, says Julie Johnson, District 9510 Rotary Public Image Chair.

 

 

 

The District Corporate Board has proposed changes to our District By-Laws (click here - File Downloads section).  Our
District Training Assembly will be held on April 22 at Sauk Valley Community College.  One of the agenda
items will be considering and voting on these proposed changes to our By-Laws.

 

 

 

As required by our District 6420 By-Laws, all clubs in the District have been provided with the following financial documents:

1.  Rotary International funds used by the 2021-2022 District Governor.
2.  The audited financial report for the 2021-2022 Rotary year.
3.  The budget for the 2023-2024 Rotary year.  This document includes the per capita levy ($42) for the 2023-2024 Rotary year.  Note that no increase is recommended.

 

Hello PEs, Foundation Chairs, and Grant Chairs! 

 

The 2023-2024 District Grant season is about to get underway.  District Grant Management Trainings will be held on January 28, February 18, and March 29 this year.

The Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees recently approved a special Disaster Response Grant fund specifically for Ukraine. 

 

Each year we try to share with the entire district what grants were funded to the clubs.

 

The following are the district grants awarded to District 6420 clubs for this Rotary year.

 

 

District Designated Funds are those funds received from The Rotary Foundation back to the district to use for District and Global Grants as well as contributions to the PolioPlus fund and other approved Rotary Foundation funds.
