In today's society, competition, greed, and entitlement challenge common sense. Students feel the pressure in many ways: getting good grades, getting into a reputable college, and aligning themselves with the right associates. The list goes on and on. Is there a need to change this mentality, and where does it lie? Students will be challenged at our 2024 edition of the District 6420 Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) camp as they participate in discussions and activities on embracing leadership from an ethical perspective. From team-building exercises to high-quality motivational speakers, area high school students will experience a transformational weekend at RYLA 2024.
This year's event runs from May 3-5, 2024 at Lowden State Park in Oregon, IL. For more information, check out our RYLA page. Deadline to apply is April 15, 2024 and the registration link for students is here. All high school-age students in the District 6420 area are eligible.
