The Fabric and Friends Room, located on the second floor of the library (next to the Soderstrom Room), features sewing machines, a fabric cutting machine, fabric, mannequins, needles and other supplies. It is open during library hours.
The Streator Public Library opened its Fabric and Friends Room to the public, thanks to a grant donation from the Streator Rotary Club. The library has tutorial videos and books to help people who are just learning to use the machines or sew.
