It's the most wonderful run of the year - the Rock Island Rotary Reindeer Ramble 5K Run/Walk! The 5K is a fast, flat and scenic out-and-back course along the bike path in Rock Island and begins at 9 a.m. at Schwiebert Riverfront Park. Registration is $25 through November 19; then $30 after November 19. T-shirts are guaranteed to those who are pre-registered. Packet pickup and race day registration will be held on Sunday, Dec. 3 at the Holiday Inn, 226 17th Street Rock Island, IL 61201., from 7:30 - 8:45 a.m.
All proceeds benefit Rock Island Rotary programs for youth and the partnership with Earl Hanson Elementary in Rock Island.
Costumes and holiday outfits are encouraged! Awards will be given for top three male and female overall as well as age group categories. Enjoy a post-race party with hot cocoa, pie and pastries!
