Putnam County Rotary’s Oktoberfest event from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, October 19 at Lost Duck Tavern in Granville, welcomes all to sample German beer and authentic Oktoberfest food specialties. Beginning at 6:30 pm, Sully will guide diners through six 4-ounce pours of German lagers and ales followed by a shot of Jagermeister, and a six-course sampling of German foods including home-made pretzels, cucumber salad, spaetzel, pork schnitzel, sauerbraten, apple struedel and ginger snaps. Cost is $18 per person, or $12 for a non-alcoholic option served with German root beer.
Along with great beer and food, guests will have an opportunity to sign up for volunteer opportunities within our local communities. Projects in need of new volunteers include Rotary Readers in the schools, the Grange Halloween Parade and Party co-hosted with PCHS Interact, Red Cross blood drives, Rotary’s Little Free Pantry, winter events benefiting seniors and veterans, the Club’s annual Ag-Night honoring farmers and ag businesses, the post-prom Afterglow, and more.
