Rotary Night at the Ballpark

After a fun and competitive year of the World Series of Giving competition, the ultimate winner was Pecatonica Rotary.

Pecatonica stayed at the top of their division for the last several innings and hung in there in June to win the World Series.

The club was able to celebrate with district leadership and a few Rotarians from other clubs at the Rockford Rivets game on August 3.

The Rotary Night at the Ballpark began with sharing a meal before the game and some good old Rotary fellowship. The club was then welcomed onto the field
before the game began to be presented with the World Series of Giving traveling trophy. The trophy was presented by Kathy Kwiat-Hess, District
Rotary Foundation Chair, and Jim MacMurdo, the World Series of Giving Chair.

PDG Bob Hammon was presented with a World Series of Giving Louisville Slugger bat for coming up with the idea.

The Pecatonica Club has vowed to remain competitive this year as we move into the 2nd Annual World Series of Giving. They are determined to
not have to give up the trophy next year.

We shall see.
