Plans for RYLA 2023 have been announced.
The event will take place on May 5-7, 2023 at the Taft-Loredo facility at Lowden State Park in Oregon, Illinois.

RYLA is designed for high school students. It provides a unique opportunity to learn, grow, have fun, and make new friends. The RYLA experience prepares young people to be leaders in their community, profession, and other facets of everyday life.

In today’s society, competition, greed, and a sense of entitlement seem to challenge common sense. Students feel pressure in many ways: achieve good grades, get into a reputable college, and align themselves with the right friends and associates. As part of the RYLA programming, students will be challenged to embrace leadership from an ethical perspective. Further, RYLA will help students develop proper social skills, including social etiquette at interviews, use technology safely, practice social manners routinely, and develop other positive behavioral characteristics. Bottom line - this year’s RYLA will help students develop skills for teamwork, introspection, group communication, and decision-making in order to lead a successful life.

Applications are due no later than April 15. The cost is just $180 per student. All needed materials were sent out to the clubs on January 25. How many students will your club send?
