The Short Term Exchange Program (STEP) pairs students from our local communities with students from Europe to spend eight weeks together – four weeks here and four weeks there – next summer! Clubs need not line up host families as these are family-to-family exchanges.
CLUBS: Get the word out to students ages 15-19 in your community.... through local media, your local high school --- and your local Interact Club if you have one! Your Club might want to set and host an informational meeting for interested students and their parents before Christmas Break. A member of the District STEP Committee can attend in person or virtually if you wish!
The STEP pre-ap is a one page form available HERE and on the 6420 website. Send to the District Committee and we will take it from there, guiding your club and applicant through the new stream-lined on-line application process. Pre-aps should be submitted asap, ideally by mid-January.
CLUB COST: $300 per application to help us cover Outbound Orientation expenses for students and their parents, scheduled for March 18, 2023.
FAMILY COST: Passport, travel, travel insurance and hosting costs.
