The District Corporate Board has proposed changes to our District By-Laws (click here - File Downloads section). Our
District Training Assembly will be held on April 22 at Sauk Valley Community College. One of the agenda
items will be considering and voting on these proposed changes to our By-Laws.

items will be considering and voting on these proposed changes to our By-Laws.
The proposed changes pertain primarily to District Committees. Terms of service will continue to be for three years, but will no longer be required to be staggered terms. The staggered terms do not reflect our current reality and we believe that we can provide continuity on District committees from year to year without requiring staggered terms.
We are also proposing to clean up a few minor grammatical and typographical errors and to clarify the voting process.
Each Club attending the District Training Assembly will be entitled to one vote. An affirmative vote of two-thirds of the club's present and voting will be necessary for passage. If approved, the revised District By-Laws will be posted on the District website.
