Review of District Financial Documents
 
As required by our District 6420 By-Laws, all clubs in the District have been provided with the following financial documents:

1.  Rotary International funds used by the 2021-2022 District Governor.
2.  The audited financial report for the 2021-2022 Rotary year.
3.  The budget for the 2023-2024 Rotary year.  This document includes the per capita levy ($42) for the 2023-2024 Rotary year.  Note that no increase is recommended.
The District Audit Committee met on Saturday, September 24, 2022. The committee members had previously been provided copies of the Immediate Past District Governor expenses, check register, and profit and loss statements which compared actual expenses with budgeted and prior year expenses.

Finance Committee Chair, Chuck Watkins, and District Treasurer, Steve Kuhn, provided a detailed description of fund management procedures for handling income and expenses, as well as the role of the bookkeeping service retained by the District. Importantly, no issues related to the financial management of the District were identified.

At our District Training Assembly on April 22 at Sauk Valley Community College one of the agenda items will be considering and voting on the adoption of these district financial documents.  Both the 2023-2024 budget, in general, and the per capita levy (i.e., District dues), specifically, will be voted on.  Each Club attending the District Training Assembly will be entitled to one vote.  An affirmative vote of three-fourths of the club's present and voting will be necessary for adoption.
