Greetings Rotarians! As we all know, our worldwide motto is “Service Above Self” and achieving this process can be extremely rewarding in so many ways and for so many people. Rotary Community Service in District 6420 encompasses a diverse range of impactful activities that include longtime traditional club programs and/or one-time special endeavors that target a unique project.
From organizing fundraising events to volunteering at feeding centers, engaging in clean water projects, and supporting Interact and Rotaract clubs, our efforts are far-reaching. We also make a difference by donating food and school supplies to local non-profit organizations and contributing our time to Rotary programs such as Youth Exchange, Foundation, Community Grants, Polio Plus, Literacy, and many others. Each of these initiatives embodies our commitment to service above self, demonstrating how, together, we can create a profound and lasting impact in our communities and beyond.
As I traveled the district during my club visits, I learned not only the wonderful programs and projects that all of our 43 clubs support throughout the Rotary year, but I heard specific stories that demonstrated the true impact these amazing efforts have on our communities and individuals who directly benefit from the mission driven successes. This was truly inspiring and heartwarming to hear these stories of dedication, achievement, and Rotary Pride!
Let us continue to amplify our impact through Rotary Community Service. Together, let us strive to expand our reach, deepen our commitment, and inspire others to join us in service. As People of Action in District 6420, we can make an even greater difference as we work to “CREATE HOPE in the WORLD”!
