As we approach the conclusion of this Rotary year themed "CREATE HOPE in the WORLD," I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you. Your unwavering dedication to promoting peace and focusing on mental health has been truly inspiring and impactful. Your commitment has embodied the very essence of Rotary, demonstrating that together, we can create a brighter and more hopeful future for our communities and beyond.
This year, we embraced an ambitious district-wide service project with the goal of donating 20 pounds of food per Rotarian member to local food pantries and the homeless population. I am thrilled to announce that all indications show that we not only met but exceeded this goal, showcasing the power of collective effort and the profound difference we can make when we come together. Each pound donated represents more than just sustenance; it symbolizes hope and compassion for those in need. Thank you for your generous contributions and for making this project a resounding success. We will be announcing the final total in the next several days as some clubs are still finalizing their efforts.
In addition to this remarkable achievement, I want to recognize the numerous service projects completed across our district. From community clean-ups and educational initiatives to health awareness and youth mentorship programs, your tireless efforts have touched countless lives. These projects are a testament to your ingenuity, compassion, and dedication to service above self. Each initiative, no matter the scale, has played a vital role in strengthening our communities and fostering a sense of unity and support. I sincerely appreciate your desire to keep Rotary relevant in all areas of your planning.
I am continually amazed by the creativity and perseverance displayed by our clubs. Your ability to adapt and thrive, even in the face of challenges, is commendable. Whether organizing events that were better designed for your specific membership skills or finding innovative ways to serve your communities with legacy projects or rolling out new programs that reach a newer audience, you have proven that our commitment to service remains steadfast and unyielding.
As we reflect on this year's accomplishments, let us also look forward with renewed energy and enthusiasm. There is always more to be done, more lives to touch, and more hope to create. Together, we can build on the foundation we've laid this year, continuing to promote peace, support mental health initiatives, and serve those in need with unwavering dedication.
Thank you, District 6420 Rotarians, for your hard work, passion, and dedication. It has been an honor to serve alongside you. Let us carry forward the spirit of service, fellowship, and hope into the coming year and beyond.
Together, we DID “CREATE HOPE in the WORLD”!
Yours In Rotary Service,
Dave Emerick
