River Cities Rotary sponsored a week of the Cordova Cares-Summer Lunch Program. This program provides 5 lunches each week for kiddos in Cordova, IL and is distributed at Cordova District Library
There are 11 weeks of the lunch program and each one is sponsored by a different organization in Cordova. Rotarians provided a hot lunch on Monday and the kids took a lunch home for Tuesday. Then, they provided a hot meal on Wednesday and the kids took home Thursday and Friday's lunches. There were 5 Rotarians and 3 Interactors that served lunch. There were 35 kids on Monday and 40 kids on Wednesday getting lunches. A total of 188 lunches were distributed to kids in the community. This is the 3rd year that River Cities Rotary has been a sponsor of this program.
