Interact is all about kids, and kids are all about food and fun, so putting the two together, Putnam County Rotary begins each year with an Interact Picnic! The free event is hosted by the Rotary Club, bringing Rotarians and Interact members from Putnam County High School and Putnam County Junior High together to share information about Rotary and the projects of their respective Clubs.
This year's event, held August 26, was attended by representatives of PC Rotary, the School District's new Superintendent, 15 Interact members -- and the President of Henry Rotary whose Club is hoping to initiate an Interact Club at their local High School in neighboring Marshall County! The combination of a great dinner, several drawings for student gift cards and homecoming tickets, a chance to play bags, the opportunity to "interact," and sharing some ideas for collaboration in the year ahead, proved beneficial to ALL concerned!
