As we enter the holiday season, I’m reminded once again of the power of connection—one of the themes that has guided my journey this year. The holidays invite us to pause, reflect, and appreciate the people in our lives. They call us to gather around tables, share stories, celebrate traditions, and embrace the joy that comes from being part of something larger than ourselves.
In Rotary, we experience that same spirit every day.
Our clubs are places where friendships take root, leadership grows, and service becomes a shared language. We connect with each other, with our communities, and with the world—bridging differences, offering hope, and creating change where it’s needed most. This season, I find myself especially grateful for each of you who carries out that mission with such heart.
The holidays also remind us that while many celebrate with abundance, there are those who face challenges—loneliness, hardship, hunger, or uncertainty. And this is where Rotary shines brightest. We step forward. We show up. We give generously. Whether through food drives, warm-coat collections, scholarship programs, youth mentorship, or global efforts to eradicate disease, your service ensures that hope reaches every corner of our district and far beyond.
As we celebrate this season of giving, I also encourage you to consider a year-end contribution to The Rotary Foundation, whose work transforms communities and changes lives every day.
As District Governor, I am inspired daily by your commitment to “Service Above Self.” You have strengthened your communities, deepened club connections, and embraced new ways of working together. You’ve built bridges—between generations, cultures, and neighborhoods. And you’ve reminded me that leadership is not just about strategy or goals; it’s about people. It’s about the compassion we show and the legacy we create.
As we look toward a new year, may we continue to lead with generosity, courage, and connection. May we carry forward the light we spark in our communities. And may we never underestimate the impact one act of kindness—or one inspired Rotarian—can have on the world.
From my family to yours, I wish you a joyful, peaceful, and hope-filled holiday season. Thank you for all you do, and for the difference you make each and every day.
Together, we are building a brighter year ahead—one connection at a time.
